So glad to FINALLY find a decent dentist in Cheltenham. Friendly helpful reception, good communicative dentists, affordable. Everything you need. Only dentist I’d reccomend in Cheltenham.
The dentist was so lovely and comforting and just reassuring the whole time which made me feel differently about going back to the dentist. I recommend them they were efficient and caring and just great overall. I have been very happy with them!
5 Bath St, Cheltenham GL50 1YE, UK – 01242 259960
I have been with Bath Street about 4 yrs now. They give a fantastic service from a phone call 2 days in advance through to the receptionists to the Dentists to the Hygienist. If your a nervous patient they take their time and explain and reassure you. I whole heartedly recommend this practice.
Excellent dentistry, very nice staff. Really nice to go to a practice that talks to the patient and explains what they are doing in a caring way. Felt that the patient care came before the money.

We’ve seen the same dentist at Illume for 20 years! A testimonial in itself. Friendly, caring and a total professional service. We would never go anywhere else!
Illume is a fantastic dentist conveniently located in Cheltenham. They provided excellent pain free treatment of a bad tooth. I don't live close, and it is a bit of a trek for a visit to the dentist. But after my first appointment, experiencing the professional, really friendly atmosphere, I won't want anybody else looking after my teeth. You can take for granted the quality of treatment and sympathetic care. I really believe that you get what you pay for. Being with a 'cheap' dentist before taught me that it was just false economy; pay a bit more to get the job done right the first time is my philosophy.

Underwood Surgery, 139 St George's Rd, Cheltenham GL50 3EQ, UK – 01242 580644
Good doctors! Short waiting times! Just wish there was more parking 😂
My family and I have been patients at Underwood Surgery for nearly ten years. It has always delivered a good service with very short waits for my young children and a choice of familiar, friendly doctors. In the last couple of years I have noticed we need to wait longer for appointments but I would put this down to cuts from the Conservative government rather than the surgery itself.
11 High St, Cheltenham GL52 6DA, UK – 01242 513975
Very good service. I’ve seen multiple Doctors here and they’re all very good. They consider you in their decision-making and justify everything they offer to aid with any ailments.
It is good to know that despite sometimes cancelling your appointment they do rearrange it so you don't have to wait for another month.
Crescent Bakery, St George's Pl, Cheltenham GL50 3PN, UK – 01242 226336
Came here for a Vaccination that my surgery dint offer, it was well priced, though i did have to wait 2 weeks for a appointment. the staff where friendly, the surgery looked well kept. There is also a toilet here which is unusual but welcomed.
Accepting new patients. Friendly and supportive practice.

My father was admitted as an emergency on Good Friday, and ended up on Lilleybrook ward. I cannot fault his care, it was exceptional. All the staff involved were so caring, kind and conscientious in the face of huge pressure, and I could never thank them enough for all they did for him and us. Having experienced much lower standards where he lived before, all staff should be proud of the extremely high standard of care they achieve in Cheltenham.
In the last 5 years I have had quiet a few visits to the Hospital. On every visit but one I have had great service. The last time was earlier this year when I had to have a scan in one of those Tardis machines. It might be ECG or something like that. I showed up 5 minutes before I was due and guess what? I sat in the waiting room for..... Yes you got it, 5 minutes. Now that is service. I had a five minute chat with a nurse who injected me with a dye and then twenty minutes later I was in the machine, scanned and on my home within another ten mins. For anyone wondering the scanner is good fun. Seriously, it's nothing to worry about. I felt like I was staring in an episode of Dr. Who. Maybe I was lucky being seen so quickly as it was in January when we had all the snow. Maybe some people cancelled or something. But I was well pleased with the speed of everything. Another visit was for a broken wrist which I obtained in Liverpool. I waited about 15 mins. that time and was seen by a doctor, x-rayed, back to the doctor again and given a prescription; then off to collect my drugs from their pharmacy. That visit lasted about 90 mins. in all. Everyone I spoke to was great, friendly, helpful and not condescending in any way. The time I was admitted to have a stent put in was fine. I arrived, had to wait a while (about 50 minutes) as there was a problem of some sort. Anyway, I was wheeled into the laboratory (officially the operating theater), where the surgeon explained everything. I was offered a jab to put me to sleep (no, not like in a vet's place) which I declined and then watched on a T.V screen as the little thing was pushed through my groin into a vein somewhere inside me. I did have a local anesthetic first. I was wheeled out and left to lie around in the room I came from with about 7 other people there. Of course I was very pleased there was a nurse there as my newly acquired wound opened and started pumping blood all over me. She sorted it within a minute and all was fine. I was then wheeled to a ward for the night and went to sleep perfectly happy with yet another good visit to this place almost over. I woke up, had a chat with the nice chap in the other bed and a nurse came in. I was telling the old guy about something from years ago and to cut a longer story short the nurse told the sister that I had wished cancer on her. I was so unpopular from that point on I was glad to be away. I walked home just to get out. The whole of my visit was good. No complaints about this place at all. It was just some stupid young girl playing a daft game that spoiled it a teeny bit. All the other times it was great. Having the cast taken off my arm/wrist. Going for the test results from my scan was great as well. The doctors these days seem able to have a laugh with you rather than being those poker faced people from years ago. Added bonus... My scan was negative.

My Mum was in Charlton Lane Willow Ward she was looked after by the staff like she was one of their own. Staff went above and beyond what anyone could wish for. A big thank you to all the staff who made visiting my mum who was late stages of Alzheimer’s more bearable. In addition they looked after myself brother and sister when we visited making sure we were coping with mums condition and they offered an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. Mum passed in April but she went with dignity and respect all down to the fantastic care given.
Alexandra House, Cheltenham General Hospital, Sandford Rd, Cheltenham GL53 7AN, UK – 0300 422 2222
Having only lived in Gloucester for a couple of years I can't speak for the entire hospital as I have only personally seen a small part of it. I had my baby here in December 2006 and it was a fantastic experience. The midwives were amazing and they did everything in their power to ensure that we stuck to my birth plan. I ended up having a waterbirth in the delivery suite (sadly the birth unit was shut for Christmas!) and it was everything I had dreamed that it would be. The aftercare was excellent and the wards were relaxed and friendly. I've also made three trips to the out of hours doctor, once for myself and once for each of my children. There's often a long wait, but the waiting room as fairly comfortable and there are plenty of toys for the little ones. It's certainly a lot better maintained than some of the hospitals I've been to.
Wonderfully 'reassuring staff

Fantastic service, really welcoming and the scan was absolutely amazing. Everything explained and allowed us not just to discover the gender but let us meet our little boy for the first time in superb detail. Thank you all!!
The most wonderful experience. We had our 4D scan here, the whole place, as soon as we walked in the door, was so relaxing and serene. Couldnt have been happier with how the whole experience went, we were made to feel extremely relaxed and welcome from start to finish.

I spent 18 months looking for a good medical cosmetic practitioner, over a wide geographical area. Initial consultations with other practitioners did not leave me feeling comfortable enough to use them for treatments. However, meeting Alison was a completely different experience. Within a short period of time during our consultation, it was evident this was a lady who knew her stuff. She spent a long period of time patiently answering my multitude of questions and there was zero hard sell. The treatments she carried out had amazing, natural looking results and I was delighted. It was still "my face" but it looked toned and youthful - not artificial and over enhanced. She has subsequently performed treatments on friends I've recommended her to and they have been equally delighted. Alison is an excellent, knowledgeable professional and I can highly recommend her.
Have been going to Alison's clinic for some time now , have to say very happy on every visit . No hard sell for other treatments . Very professional , highly recommend

Took the plunge after weeks of gut problems - colonic irrigation relief!! Discreet, supportive therapist Caroline Shaw is just what's needed for such an intimate therapy. Apparently she's practiced for more than 30 years so very experienced. The clinic has a calm atmosphere and is a well designed space.
Lovely atmosphere. John Underhill - cranio sacral therapy - is a magician.

I've been meaning to leave a review for some time but today's service meant I really needed to. The staff are always so pleasant and very helpful. They've helped me out when my dad visited and forgot his insulin, ensured I get my medication on time and today the pharmacist took the time when I rang up to clarify a potential contra-indication with the medicine I'd been prescribed.
Friendly and helpful service, free parking available.

I had problems getting my prescription re-ordered through the temporary pharmacists who provide cover at the weekend. However, Pauline, the pharmacy manager, very quick got it all sorted. She was extremely helpful and since then no problems at all.

4.5 * as there is always room for some improvement. So here goes... There is a humane intelligence in the Management team and the Manager really cared and this ethos continues she often puts the needs of others above herself. The G.P affiliated with Lypiatt Lodge was exceptional, the nurses were skilled experienced and intuitive. There were so many exceptional carers. The staff were kind, and sometimes busy but in reality absolutely nothing was too much trouble. The Chef was in tune with the needs of each individual and the laundry was specific well ordered, clean and fresh. There were appropriate activities which included Exercise, Sing- alongs and Craft Sessions. Communication with everyone who was involved with Lypiatt Lodge was welcomed and not a chore. I used a communication book to record issues that I felt were important. Our family was welcomed by the team daily and our loved one was cherished until the end.
Lypiatt lodge is a wonderful home. The management and staff put the residents at the heart of everything they do and also give a great deal of support to their friends and family. Placing your family in care is not a decision taken lightly but Lypiatt make the process as painless as possible. I highly recommend the home. Thank you
Humphris Place, Off Sandford Rd, Cheltenham GL53 7GA, UK – 01242 505560
The staff were all lovely here and the manager Shaun is kind and looks out for the residents' very best interests- when I was there I have never met such a lovely group of people who genuinely cared for the welfare of its service users. Beautiful gardens and surroundings and opposite parks and a café.
Lovely place. Amazing Team. Great place to work.

Jenny has treated me with acupuncture and her own herbs and ointment for a serious skin condition. She is very thorough and professional and enjoyable to work with. I have known many alternative therapy professionals and I count Jenny among the very best.
I have been with back pain over than 10 years, traditional doctors only give me pain killers and more pain killers until about 2 months back my husband booked me in at Imperial Herbary acupuncture. after 5 treatments with Dr Jenny Zhao I'm free of constant pain, I'm able to sleep and have a proper rest without pain or pain killers all the time .Thank Dr Jenny Zhao for give me a better quality of life free of pain . I have been using Skelian for around 6 months now to help with left shoulder/ collar bone pain. Ben has been great and my range of motion has improved greatly. I am now able to manage my pain a lot more effectively. The rest of the staff are always very friendly and helpful so I highly recommend this place.
I recently visited skelian clinic after I had persistent pain in my right knee. When I contacted the clinic the receptionist was very polite and extremely helpful and booked me in for the following day with Ben. Ben was very thorough in his investigation into my problem and within a few minutes he had pin pointed the problem and my knee was so much easier to move!! I have booked in for some intensive treatment with Ben to build the muscle up around my knee and to hopefully cure the problem. I highly recommend Skelian, from the reception desk to the treatment room is highly professional outfit and they will help in anyway they can!!
147 Hales Rd, Cheltenham GL52 6TD, UK – 01242 222111
I had my first physio session ever with Angela after having a car accident and she has been fantastic helping me through a tough time - initial neck and shoulder pain/ whiplash and lower back muscle pain. She has a lovely manner which put me at ease especially as I didn’t really know what to expect. She always assesses me every time and tailors the session to suit. My back is progressively getting better and she helps me remain positive and focussed especially when I sometimes take 2 steps backwards when I’ve pushed myself a bit too far. Definitely would recommend her.
I have been seeing Rob on a regular basis for many years now and would not go anywhere else. His extensive knowledge gives me confidence in his treatment which helps keep my joints pain-free and moving as they should. I have recommended him to several friends, all who have been converted from other practices. I advise anyone suffering from stiffness due to desk jobs to go to the Regency, it’s well worth it.

Suman is very experienced Homeopath. I had some skin problem which NHS doctor medicine couldn't cure so I decided to try Homeopath. I approached Suman, she understood the problem really well and gave me some medicines. Her medicines took some time but did miracle and cured my skin problem. I would definitely recommend her.

The cheapest eye test I found so decided to get my eye test done there for the first time. I waited about 15 mins before being seen, the receptionist might not be the friendliest but optometrist Cecilia was really lovely and patient.

my experience going to this store was amazing, when I went for my eyes tests and because I couldn't stand for long as was in lots of pain, the staff were so helpful the asked me what sort of glasses I wanted and what colour I want and the were brining loads of glasses they were so helpful I won't go back to one I used to use, it will now be the one within side Morrison but loved how how good and friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them which I loved xx
Attentive and professional service. I really cannot fault them.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Good choices of frames, a half price deal on a second pair of prescription glasses, and a much better explanation of varifocal lenses than I had at any of the other opticians I went to. I would recommend!
Extremely friendly, pleasant and helpful staff, not at all rushed.... Highly recommended.

I have been to Duncan twice now and both times went in with a lot of back and then coccyx pain and felt better in just a couple of days. Duncan's gentle and thorough approach put me at ease immediately. He took the time to explain what he was doing at every stage and took time to investigate why I was experiencing pain. He has given me some simple ideas to help prevent it recurring. I would highly recommend Duncan.
I was recommended to Duncan by a friend. I had been struggling with a few back niggles which didn't seem to be shifting so thought I would try him. I have had a fair bit of Osteopathy over the years but Duncan's approach was much more holistic than others I have seen. He has a gentle approach to treatment and is obviously focussed on helping you get to the root cause of any issues rather than just dealing with the symptoms. The combination of Duncan's treatments and his advice for self management (regular pilates, which I undertook) has meant I no longer have any issues. I would recommend him highly.

You never ‘want’ to go for Physio - It usually involves a bit of pain and lots of new exercises to rehabilitate whatever part of the body hurts. In my case I wanted to be back on the bike as quickly as possible. Straight Back Physio were so good. They booked me in within a day of calling, made it easy to work with my insurance company and then booked in several sessions so I could recover as quickly as possible. I also had emails after sessions with the new set of exercises explained as a reminder - you know you always forget the moment you walk out the door... Thanks guys. You were awesome and I feel fully recovered.
Where do I start?! I cannot thank the team at Straight Back Physio enough for what they have done for me! I contacted them because I had damaged the quads in my right leg. 3 times in 1 year this has happened. The first time I didn't bother seeing a physio, as that was my first ever injury and I thought it would just get better on its own so I left it. The 2nd time, I was jogging on the treadmill and I felt the quad pop and I knew this wasn't right so I saw a different physio, however, I was not advised what to do to get better and wasn't advised to go back, so I just left it again thinking it would get better. The 3rd time, I just left it again but it got worse and worse to the point where walking was causing me a lot of pain and the leg was swollen. I knew this wasn't right, so I found Straight Back Physio on Google and I must say, the team have been absolutely amazing! They have all helped me so much by massaging the leg, giving me stretches and exercises to do both at home and at the gym. The team are all professional, friendly, knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I am now running again and training for Cheltenham Half Marathon. It's been an absolute pleasure meeting Sarah, Stuart and Francesca and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs physio! Thank you all for everything you've done. You're all amazing! :-D

Fantastic, of course all clinicians are different, but having met and worked with most at some point. Overall the service is good, with some incredible clinicians on top, including the service runner (not sure of his official title).

Every doctor I have been treated by at this clinic has been exceptional. From having babies to being unwell myself just great. Thank you.
The surgery is very welcoming. Appointments are generally available within the week unless you want to see a particular doctor at a particular time, then waits can be slightly longer. Reception staff are lovely and go out of their way to help. Doctors actually listen and aren't sat poised over a prescription pad with the clock ticking. Staff such as nurses and other health care professionals have all been friendly to my children and I. Health care as it should be! Would highly recommend the surgery.

Had a hot stone massage today following a hard day at work which resulted in a severe backache. Kerry the therapist was excellent and after an hours treatment my aches and pains had gone. I would thourly recommend Cheltenham reflexology and massage. A warm and welcoming atmosphere awaits you. Go for it give it a try. Thank you Kerry for soothing my aches and pains.

Steven is a very knowledgeable therapist who has a wonderful manner. He relaxes you the moment you walk in for your treatment. He always really takes the time to respond to your needs, listening to both your mind and body. The facilities are fantastic, the beautiful environment Steven has created is certainly luxurious. I can’t recommend him enough, I have had reflexology for many years and I feel Steven has a real gift. All his treatments are second to none. Thank you 😊
The whole experience was extremely relaxing, from the treatment itself, to the environment. Before I went to see Steven I had a really bad cough which I'd had for weeks, but it cleared up within 48 hours of having the reflexology. I'd definitely recommend Sole Therapies!
St Margarets Terrace, 1 St Margaret's Rd, Cheltenham GL50 4DT, UK – 01242 255440
I cannot recommend the college and Kerry Baxter's tutoring more highly. I'm sure there are colleges all over the country "churning out" qualified therapists on a regular basis. But if you want to be taught uncompromising professionalism, meticulous standards and the highest quality and understanding of treatments, all in a friendly and supportive environment.....then you need to train here. It's hard work but it's a journey that will leave you feeling proud of your achievement and unwilling to accept that your course is over........so you'll always be looking to book your next one!!
Today I attended the Holistic Facial course with Kerry to add to my reflexology and massage business. It is a great location in the centre of Cheltenham and a wonderful space to learn in small relaxed groups. I have come home today feeling confident that I can complete a facial routine on my own, applying the correct pressure for a really great treatment to new and existing clients. Kerry is patient and has a wealth of knowledge to share in our Complementary Therapy development. I booked the next course before leaving and can't wait to return. Thank you so much Kerry see you for my Hot Stone Massage course.
